What exactly is PHP+ WASM & WordPress+ ?
WordPress+ is our innovative platform that runs your WordPress site using PHP executed via WebAssembly (WASM). This is a cutting-edge approach where the PHP code that powers WordPress is processed within a highly efficient, sandboxed WASM runtime, managed by a Node.js layer and hosted on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). It’s designed to offer superior speed, enhanced security, and robust scalability compared to traditional WordPress hosting. “PHP+” refers to this modern, high-performance PHP runtime environment.
How is this different from regular WordPress hosting?
Traditional hosting typically runs PHP directly on a server (e.g., via Apache or Nginx with PHP-FPM). Our WordPress+ platform compiles PHP to WebAssembly, which offers several advantages:
